Unspecx is a newly launched refractive surgery brand focused on teenagers and young adults seeking freedom from glasses and contact lenses. This project documents a real patient journey, capturing honest emotions and experiences to build trust with first-time surgery seekers. The objective was to create a testimonial that feels relatable, modern, and credible—designed for digital-first audiences.

The Transformation

Instead of following a slow, clinical testimonial format, we transformed the patient story into a fast-paced and dynamic narrative. The focus shifted from medical explanations to emotional clarity—using tighter edits, natural reactions, and engaging pacing. This approach helped present refractive surgery not as a procedure, but as a life upgrade that resonates with a younger audience.

Challenges on Set

The production faced real-world constraints. Key information was not fully communicated at the start, requiring on-set restructuring and quick creative decisions. Additionally, the patient was a first-time on-camera subject, which meant building comfort and allowing authenticity to develop naturally.
